Cable Over-Sheathing
When cables are required to be installed externally whether clipped to a wall or in ducts, and are only available with an internal sheath, Securiflex can offer a bespoke 'Over-Sheathing' facility with quantities as low as 100m.
LPDE (Low Density Polyethylene) Offering water resistance whilst remaining flexible.
HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) Offering a greater protection to the elements.
PE/PP (Polyethylene / Polypropylene) Generally used in 'Direct Burial' scenarios.
We can also provide Over-Sheathing in a LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen compound).
Over Armouring & Braiding
Securiflex also offers an 'Over' Armouring and Braiding service to add extra protection to cables.
Galvanised steel wire braid is generally used where flexibilty is required. Armouring (SWA) for heavy duty, industrial and Direct Burial applications.
We also offer various outer sheath options to include: PVC, Polyethylene and LSZH.
Bespoke Cable Manufacturing
If you have a requirement for a cable that is not available 'Off the shelf' Securiflex have direct contacts for bespoke cabling manufacture.
If you specfify your exact requirements to include inner and outer sheath compounds, core/pair sizes, colours, stranding, type of screening (foil, braid etc) we will obtain a quote for you. Generally this service will take approximately 6-10 weeks with a MOQ of 3km.
This service enables you to have your company name, web address or an individual ID code printed on the outer sheath, giving edge of promoting your company within our industry.
If your requirement is on a long term regular basis, we will look at stocking it on the shelf for you to save on lead times and MOQ's.
